Adrian Bloom has been using perennials in innovative ways in gardens he has designed on both sides of the Atlantic, and will suggest the best choices to create exciting combinations for the year round garden. He has recently been designing and planting rivers of plants to dramatic effect in both large and small gardens.  Believing that there are far too many untried and largely untested new plants, he suggests that choosing fewer but better plants will lead to greater success. This is largely the message in his new book, Blooms Best Perennials and Grasses which also points out how knowing the origins of plants can help you make the right decisions for your garden. Bloom also believes perennials and grasses are underused as part of the mix with shrubs and conifers in many of our gardens, and will explain how they can be used to create more impact in the garden.
